Just yesterday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was feeling the heat from the left. More than 60 young people shut down her news conference on DACA chanting pro-immigration slogans: “All of us or none of us” and “We are not a bargaining chip.” Pelosi had organized the press event to urge the passage of the DREAM Act. But the group of undocumented youth who organized the protest called on the House Minority Leader to focus on a comprehensive approach to immigration reform, without giving concessions to Republicans. Yesterday’s protest is a good reminder that we must continue to urge lawmakers on both sides to secure the passage of the DREAM Act now!
