Over 1.5 million people have used Flippa to buy websites, mobile apps or online businesses.
You can also start a blog, grow it, then sell it on Flippa. This is what my friend Tracie Fobes did. In 2009, she started a frugal living blog called Penny Pinchin’ Mom.

Rent out your home
If you have an extra room or space available, you can make money by renting it out on Airbnb. With Airbnb, you can list your space for free and host guests.
If you’re curious, head to Airbnb’s calculator to see how much money you could be making as an Airbnb host.
For example, Airbnb hosts in my area (Toronto) earn an average of $4,863/month(Canadian dollars).
Rent out your space
One of the easiest ways to make money is by renting out your unused space. As a Neighbor Host, you can make passive income by renting your garage, driveway, basement, attic, closet, bedroom, or any storage space.
How to get started as Neighbor Host:
- List your space – Tell Neighbor about your spaces and how much you’d like to earn.
- Respond to renters – Review renters requests (including what they want to store and when) and approve them.
- Schedule a move-in – Schedule a move-in time with your new renter. That’s it!
Sell advertising space on your blog or website
If you have a blog or website, you may want to consider selling advertising space on it. Companies will pay you to share banners or display ads on your site. It can be a great way to make money from home and provides a passive source of income too.

With more people making their pets a part of their families, it’s no surprise that the pet product industry is thriving.
To get started, brainstorm some unique ideas you can bring to the table. Here are a few examples to get you inspired:
- High fashion dog clothes
- Dog clothing for cold weather environments
- Clothing made specifically for certain breeds of dogs (Greyhounds, Dachshunds, and so on)
- Costumes for dogs (Halloween, holidays, weddings, birthday parties, and so on)/

Deliver food with DoorDash
Walk, drive or bike ride to make local deliveries with DoorDash. You can earn between $15-$25 per hour.
This suggestion involves leaving the house, but you just need your smartphone and a mode of transportation to get started.
Get paid to grocery shop
Instacart is an app that connects you to customers who need groceries. This website lets customers shop from local grocery stores online, then sends an Instacart Shopper to fulfill and deliver the order the same day.
As an Instacart Shopper, you’ll get paid to go to the grocery store and shop for others.
There are no set hours or days, which means you can shop as much or as little as you want, anytime you want. This can be a great way to make $100 a day.
